Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi ‘sleeps in suicide vest’, after being trapped in Mosul: report

Mosul, January 15: The world most wanted terrorists Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi who holds a bounty of US$ 25 million on his head sleeps during the night by wearing ‘suicide vest’, International Business Times reported. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the ISIS (Daesh) leader is believed to be hiding out in Nineveh, near Mosul, Iraq and according to some senior leaders of al-Hashd al-Shaabi – the Popular Mobilization Units (PMUs), the self-proclaimed Calipha of Islam is fearing for his life.
Since the last couple of weeks as operations in Mosul has been intensified by authorities, since then a joint intelligence task for the force between the PMUs and the Joint Operations Command are tracking Baghdadi’s movement.
A PMU spokesperson, Jawad al-Tleibawi was quoted by an Iraqi newspaper, where he reportedly said, “Initial information with the intelligence bodies tell that… Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi remains in Nineveh… as security forces impose control over the eastern side of Mosul, while the western side is totally isolated from Syrian territories”.
According to the spokesperson for the US-led coalition’s Combined Joint task Force in Iraq, the ISIS leader ‘sleep in a suicide vest’.
Earlier Colonel John Dorrain while addressing a press conference at Erbil said, “So what we’ve heard through intelligence and open sources, and I don’t know if we can verify these, is that he sleeps in a suicide vest, so we’ll see how that plays out”. He further added that “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is hiding in because he knows he will be killed if he is found”.
Last year, the United States Department increased the price tag on Baghdadi from $10 million to $25 million to anyone who provides information on him.
