Elite troops push deeper into eastern Mosul

Special forces have recaptured two districts of eastern Mosul, expanding the army's foothold in the ISIL stronghold. The Iraqi army says their troops have liberated the districts of al-Falah Oula and al-Falah Thaniya, while in the west of the city paramilitary units freed seven villages.

Troops are facing a grueling fight in Mosul from the extremist militants. But in another minor victory, the special forces -- known as the Golden Division -- discovered an ISIL training camp, seizing equipment from the premises.
